ASMBS guidelines call for a minimum of 18 mg of iron per day for patients of all bariatric procedure types, and many female patients need 45-60 mg per day.1

Iron supplements should include vitamin C to help absorption of iron. Iron and calcium should be taken two hours apart. Calcium has been shown to reduce iron absorption after a meal by 50-60%.

'Taste so good '

I needed more iron and was tired of taking pills so I decided to try this product and I'm so happy I did. This is sooo tasty it's like eating candy. I really can't wait to eat it each day.I will be buying this again in the highest quantity they have!'

30mg Iron chewable

I hesitated trying these because of all the other irons out their and *Taste Great* ads . I was very surprised at the flavor. It is like chewing on a soft chocolate raspberry candy. You sold me on the first bite. I get no stomach upset or other side effects with these as I did with iron pills. My ferritin levels are good and that makes my doctor happy. I will stay on these. Thank you for making my iron intake a lot tastier each day!

Delicious

These chocolate raspberry iron supplements are tasty, and easy to swallow. They don't upset my stomach.
The only potential issue is that 1 per day may not be enough if you're starting these while anemic. I took one of these every day for 2 months, and my hemoglobin went from 8.2 to 8.6. My doctor thought that wasn't enough improvement for the amount of time they were taken.
Check with your doctor about how much to take.

Pretty good

I don't really taste the raspberry, and it has a slight rusty undertone (not surprisingly) but otherwise a decent flavor. It chews easily without sticking, dissolves quickly, and hasn't caused any stomach problems. I will be sticking with this one.
